The Strategic Church Initiative is an invitation-only, strategic alliance between the leadership of Halftime and innovative chruch teams interested in launching a ministry to discover and deploy leaders into service.

Participating churches must have senior pastor/leadership buy-in, lay leadership involvement and a commitment to an external focus beyond their church programs, and they must be willing to implement strategies developed in concert with Halftime to discover and deploy leaders into service.

Through the Strategic Church Initiative, churches:

  • Develop a sustainable ministry to identify and launch leaders into service.
  • Deliver high-quality events and curriculum designed to move leaders toward service.
  • Discover proven methods for releasing leaders into service.
  • Deploy at least four leaders into service within the first year of implementation.

It is anticipated that every participating church in the Strategic Church Strategy will launch at least four seasoned leaders into service, either inside or outside the church.

For each church involved, the Strategic Church Initiative includes Hands-on Consulting Services from Halftime, Events (Special Leaders Dinner, Vision Casting, Halftime Summit, Halftime Collaborative Day), Small Group Leaders Curriculum, and one tuition for Halftime Institute.

If you would like to discover and deploy seasoned marketplace leaders into critical serving roles in your church, then a Success to Significance Vision Casting event is a low-risk, high-yield way to begin.

Success to Significance Vision Casting presents business and professional leaders in your church with a compelling vision of a significant second half. Just as important, each participant will leave with actionable steps for making the most of their own Halftime experience. This two-hour event is designed for groups of 50 to 300 and includes teaching, video clips, large-group interaction, individual work and small-group interaction.

The Speaker
Each Vision Casting event is led by a Halftimer who has a personal significance story. The facilitators’ stories and the content from these events are sure to resonate with participants.

A Halftime Facilitator
The role of the facilitator is to lead participants through a process that challenges them to determine how they have been gifted and encourages them to discover how they may be of service to others. All Halftime facilitators have personal stories of their own. In addition to being trained speakers, they are Halftimers whose experiences will resonate with participants.

The Halftime Summit was created to assist you in launching a sustainable ministry designed to discover and deploy leaders into service. The Summit event is an in-depth five- to seven-hour gathering that concludes with the most effective “Next Steps” for your church or organization and those you serve.

Your team will receive hands-on coaching throughout the entire Halftime Summit process, from the moment you decide to host a Summit to the launch of your first small group experiences following the event and beyond. It is our desire to partner with you long-term to encourage leaders to embrace God’s calling and move from success to significance.

The Collaborative Day is a six-hour event exclusively targeted toward the “real leaders” in the local church. It is designed to identify the most capable people who may or may not be using their skills and abilities in service to others. The day is structured to include the senior pastor, executive pastor and Halftime ministry leader together with 10 to 20 other people who will be given permission to use their leadership skills in a significant manner.

The day is designed to:
  • Cast a compelling vision of leadership opportunities for Halftimers.
  • Facilitate collaborative work to craft models around the ideas.
  • Provide an opportunity to interact with other Halftimers and learn about their journeys.
  • Enable Halftimers to gain peer insights and learn how they can put their skills into play for causes they are
    passionate about.
  • Model how Halftimers’ marketplace-developed skills can make a difference in the lives of people outside a
business context; demonstrate how their skills are transferable.
  • Match leaders with significant ministry opportunities.
